We pour happiness
Our mission is simple. We want to share the knowledge we have gathered through years of passion, learning, and enjoyment of fermented beverages and foods - Coffee, Bread, Cacao, Kombucha, etc.
At We Pour Happiness, our goal is to share the knowledge, and encourage you to try to make these foods and drinks for your self, and hopefully you enjoy your new learned skill with your friends and family.
We want to share our experience with all those that enjoy a nice brew, or a crunchy slice of toast with butter. We want to help you find want brings enjoyment to your taste buds, that caffeine fix for the day, or the comfort on a gloomy day. History, science, fermentation, and brewing will be present depending on which class you are interested in; our hope is that after our meeting you will leave with a clear path to brewing and enjoying a good brew. The Team
Saul - Bread
Hi, I am Saul, the founder and Bread-maker at Uly Brot Haus. When I traveled to Germany for the first time, back in 2012, I thought it was all about the beer, but I would be pleasantly surprised with what I discovered. It was all about the bread! Returning to Panama I realized that this type of bread was so tasty and different to what we find in store that one day I told myself: "If I can’t find them, why not make them?!" That’s how it all started. In Panama we are culturally used to only eating fluffy, soft crust bread so, I created Uly Brot Haus to offer a quality product for those who want a hard crust, and fluffy but rich dough. The crustier the better! |
Kevin & Daphne - Cacao & Kombucha
Hi I'm Kevin, the co-owner of Mano a Mano Hostel in las Peñitas, Nicaragua. A beach hostel mostly made out of natural and recycled materials perfect for surfers and backpackers. There is where I met my partner Daphne. She has been making Kombucha since she was very little, learning from her mom; became instantly hooked by it. We have been making Kombucha at the hostel since 2017. Besides Kombucha, Daphne and I are also very interested in cacao and chocolate production; we volunteered in different farms, eco lodges and factories in Central America while working online. At the moment, we are traveling around the world learning about hospitality, fermented products such as Kombucha and of course Chocolate. This year we are very excited to travel to New Zealand to set our base and build our dream of a small chocolate store! |
